Jedi Kittens Strike Back (by FinalCutKing)
Poor kittens: no more Star Wars.
A rare Sand Cat kitten has been born at a zoo in Israel. These are such beautiful cats - I love the two stripes on their legs.
What I love about this is that the dove is performing a courtship display towards the cat. It could not barking up a more inappropriate tree… as it were. It is also a phenomenally patient and tolerant cat.
This page gave me a good laugh earlier today. What I love is that the majority of the cats look as if they are hatching Evil Plans in the background, while their oblivious doggie pals smile for the camera.
This is beautiful: a cat called Cutta Cutta (so great they named him/her twice!) lapping captured by a high speed camera. One of the things I love about science is that the more carefully you look at something, the more fascinating, complex and surprising it becomes.
One of my favourite sounds in the world: the soft ‘schhnik’ that marks the apex of the cat yawn, when the tongue unsticks itself from the roof of the mouth and drops down to form a graceful pink Bezier curve.
Bianca likes to hide behind the curtain and sit on the desk watching birds outside the window.
I’m trying out the iPhone app Best Camera, and am quite impressed with the filters and how they can perk up iPhone snaps.
Bianca loves to sit behind the blind and look out the window at all the goings on outside. As we know, a cat’s tail has a mind of its own, so sometimes she forgets that hers is giving her postion away.
Since this is a blackout blind, and the lights were off in the room, I had to use a high ISO, which equals noise on the Canon G10. Despite, that, I like the dramatic light in this.
You’ll also notice I’m trying out a new theme - it messes up some of the autoposted images from Posterous, but I can live with that, I think. Autoposting turns out not to be a good solution for me, I think, so I’m going to stick with Tumblr and doing things semi-manually.
