A rare Sand Cat kitten has been born at a zoo in Israel. These are such beautiful cats - I love the two stripes on their legs.

What I love about this is that the dove is performing a courtship display towards the cat. It could not barking up a more inappropriate tree… as it were. It is also a phenomenally patient and tolerant cat.
What was I just saying about curious cats?

25 Pictures Of Cats And Dogs Photobombing Each Other
This page gave me a good laugh earlier today. What I love is that the majority of the cats look as if they are hatching Evil Plans in the background, while their oblivious doggie pals smile for the camera.
An absolutely awe-inspiring (and very interesting) colour chart for domestic cats. It’s incredibly detailed, and also covers coat patterns, ticking, eye colour and pad colour. Somali/abyssinian colours are at the bottom, though the ‘silver’ variants of the main colours aren’t covered. One of my favourite sounds in the world: the soft ‘schhnik’ that marks the apex of the cat yawn, when the tongue unsticks itself from the roof of the mouth and drops down to form a graceful pink Bezier curve.

Since this is a blackout blind, and the lights were off in the room, I had to use a high ISO, which equals noise on the Canon G10. Despite, that, I like the dramatic light in this.
You’ll also notice I’m trying out a new theme - it messes up some of the autoposted images from Posterous, but I can live with that, I think. Autoposting turns out not to be a good solution for me, I think, so I’m going to stick with Tumblr and doing things semi-manually.
